Four chances effected in State U-23 cricket team

The Senior Selection Committee of Odisha Cricket Association today effected four changes in the state under-23 men’s team for their fifth and last Col C K Nayudu Trophy Plate Group-B match against Jharkhand to be played at Bokaro from November 11 to 14.

Sourabh Rawat, Raj Kishan Patel, Ranjit Paikray and Tarakant Samal were included in the 15-member team, in places of Nirnimesh Jena, Rajesh Dhuper, Sarbeswar Mohanty and Rahul Choudhury. Wicket-keeper Dhuper was promoted to the state Ranji Trophy team after his impressive batting performance in the last C K Nayudu Trophy match against Hyderabad. He replaced Sourabh Rawat, who was demoted to the U-23 team.

Nirnimesh Jena and Sarbeswar Mohanty were dropped from the U-23 team for not performing upto expectation in the last match. Rahul Choudhury was chosen for match against Hyderabad but did not get the chance to play.
